After finishing last in New England during the 2014 competition season, RAGE has had an incredible 2015. First, we won the New England District competition in Reading, MA. At our second district competition in Hartford three weeks later, we came in fourth.
Those two finishes qualified us to attend the New England District Championships at WPI. We ended up in the middle of the pack and didn't get selected for a playoff alliance. However, our finish there along with our previous two qualified us to attend the World Championships in St. Louis.
RAGE's sponsor funding was cut almost in half this year, and will be even less next year. At the beginning of the school year, we never dreamed we'd do this well and would be looking at the possibility of attending World Championships. We are now looking at having to raise the $5000 entry fee plus figure out how to get the team to St. Louis and where to house them. And we have less than 10 days to do it in.
