Let's make DragCon 2017 the best one yet!

/u/Broosh here. You may know me as the creator and as one of the moderators of /r/RuPaulsDragRace .
Last year, we had the extreme pleasure of having Reddit sponsor RuPaul's DragCon. It was definitely a highlight for many:

You all have given the best into the sub, creating a unique space for all of us to thrive in. I would love to keep the momentum going and continue to give back to all you Nancy Drews and Redditors who are coming back to the convention this year!
I normally don't ask for much...and I know it may seem like a lot, but this year we're pretty much operating on our own. We volunteer and put in our time, work, and effort to bring you the best experience to our subreddit. We would love to give back to those who attend this weekend, which is why we're asking for your help here:
The purpose of this campaign is so we can secure a meetup venue for all Redditors attending RuPaul's Drag Con. Funds are being used for an *intimate and unique* meetup during the weekend of DragCon.
I want to clear up a few things now that we've reached our $3,500 goal:
Katya's Birthday FUNeral
We're not selling any more VIP tickets, and donations made after the goal was reached won't be given priority for the meetup (you can still donate, if you'd like).
Donors that contributed before the goal was made will be given priority for those attending the event.
Our sponsored GA tickets will include the VIP Meet and Mingle and an extra drink ticket so come early and don't miss out on getting a chance to talk to your favorite queen! (Seriously come early the line will be out the door.)
We were given a set number of tickets for co-sponsoring the event, and as a big THANK YOU to all of you readers out there we will be giving away the remaining, non-donor tickets to those attending.
Meetup
Now that we've raised the funds, we've secured the PEG space to host an event at some point during the weekend. I can't wait and meet all of you lovely faces!
We're currently drafting up on some ideas on what to do with the space. We'll keep on posting updates throughout the week.
Apart from the meetup: If anyone's interested in maybe doing dinner or lunch throughout the convention (in or outside the con space). Let me know! Last year it was fun seeing so many new faces, I'd love to keep it going.
