Skydiving to help find a cure

Hayley and Georgia here

we are fundraising for Parkinson’s Uk. I’m 34 and never been any good at stepping out of my comfort zone, but here I am planning a skydive!!! And Georgia 28 who is a little more of a dare devil!

on the 29th July we will be jumping from a whopping 14000ft with our younger brother Ben who is now a fully qualified tandem instructor, so we know we are in the safest hands!

Here’s why we chose this charity…

In 2006 our Pops was diagnosed with Parkinson’s at a young age of 46 yrs!

Pops aKa “Micky bad boy” aKa “Santa” now 64, has another obstacle to face and recently been diagnosed with hypolarangeal Cancer, and although inoperable he is ready to fight like the “Wayte Warrior” he is and start radiotherapy treatment, with the support of his amazing family and friends by his side all the way!

Pops has never let Parkinson’s get him down and has always carried on doing the many things he loves, whether it be going to the gym, meeting up with friends and family, taking regular camping trips with his partner & friends, and not forgetting his annual Christmas duty of “Santa” bringing magic & smiles to many children around the Ashfield area!

For anyone who has ever met him, you would all agree he is the most loving, cheeky, funny, brave & genuine guy you’ll ever meet who is always full of happiness, funny stories and tells the best dad jokes! He is just a pure joy to be around and nothing will take away his infectious smile and pure amazing sense of humour!

we knew as soon as we thought about doing a skydive that we wanted to do it for a charity and there’s no charity closer to our hears than Parkinson’s UK.

There is still no cure for Parkinson’s, but we know the money raised will help with new research, new medications and better care. right now, together we can find new treatments and one day a cure.

Any donation is appreciated no matter how big or small, it means so much to me and my family and it will all help towards a great cause!
