A mother's broken heart
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Sabrina. I am a mother of 2 and a wife. These past few years have been rough for my family with many medical obstacles for my daughter and myself. After getting very sick with covid twice and then being hospitalized in December for pneumonia, now I am facing needing heart surgery to close a hole I have.
My daughter, 7 yrs old, faces so many medical challenges and behavioral challenges every day. She is a patient at CHOP with over 13 specialists. She has multiple growths in her brain, Autism, ODD, DMDD, ADHD, immuno-compromised, the list goes on.
My son, 15 yr old, was invited to go to France with his school's Marching Band. We would love to send him, but due to medical costs for my heart surgery, we can not afford to pay for him to go. My son said to me the other day, "Mom it's okay I know you can't afford for us to do both. Your heart is more important than my trip to France. I don't want you to die." That broke my heart. He has worked so hard in life. He was diagnosed at age 2 with Autism, he has overcome so many obstacles himself, from being a nonverbal kid til age 8 to now being 15 yrs old and being top 15 of his class of about 300 students. Being able to play trombone, baritone, piano, drums and other instruments by ear. Music is his outlet, its how he communicates best.
As a mother, a wife, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, and a friend; I always go above and beyond to help everyone around me. I was working two jobs to try and save what I can, but it has become too much for me to handle.
I am finally realizing that I need help. Medical bills are piling up. So I come to the public, people near and far, to please help my family during this rough time.
