£80 raised of

Royal Preston Hospital Neuro Rehabiliation Unit

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Rob, and I am raising money for my step daughter Sarah who was involved in a near fatal car accident back in 2023. She spent 2 months in Royal Preston Hospital where she was initially induced into a coma on the Critical Care Unit. She was then transferred to the Neuro High Dependancy Ward and after this spent the majority of her stay in Barton Ward which is one of the Neuro Rehabilitation units.

Barton Ward provides multidisciplinary rehabilitation and specialist care that includes a team of Speech and Language therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Neuropsychologists. Barton Ward was a key part of her recovery journey, which without, we may not have the Sarah we have today.

Due to this, and alongside her own fundraiser for the CCU and Family Support Unit, I want to raise money and awareness for the importance of the Neuro Rehab unit, and how without them, patients like Sarah would not be given the best chance of recovery.

On 9th & 10th May, I will be cycling the 85 miles of The Bay Cycleway from Walney Island, Barrow to Glasson Dock, Lancaster with friends.

Any donations, big or small, will be highly appreciated by myself, Sarah and our family.
