Royal Derby Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Hi everyone it's been nearly a year since I had my little girl , without the help of the amazing midwifes, nurses and doctors of the nicu she wouldn't be here today, the day she was born was the most terrifying and life changing day of mine and my partners life, words can not describe how it feels to have your baby enter the world unresponsive and how helpless you feel while the doctors work on them next to you, we was told a few hours later that she had a 20% survival rate and we needed to prepare ourselves to say goodbye, at the moment my world just came crashing down around me, the first time I saw my little girl she was on a ventilator, my heart broke into a million pieces, all I wanted to do was hold her and take all her pain away but that was the only thing I could not do, all I could was pray, thanks to the amazing unsung hero's she is here today and full of life, me and my partner can honestly not thank them enough for giving us our family and the support they gave us from start to end is what kept us going and nothing we do will ever be come close to showing how greatful we are, they are all wonderful hero's but what I would like to do is try and raise as much as I can to help other little miracle babies and the parents going though the unthinkable and ofcourse help the nurses, midwifes and doctors, also it would help towards new equipment and anything else they may need, it would also be amazing if anyone had anything to donate like little hats or blankets, maybe even food as they have a family room which provides free food and cold and hot drinks or maybe so books for them to read to the little ones, I can be found on facebook as kayla price if anyone would like to donate items I completely understand that the last nearly two years has been hard financially for everyone but even if I raise just a little amount it is something to help and a little can go along way, so I'm asking if anyone can spare anything even a pound I would be more than than greatful, thankyou all so much for reading and I hope everyone is staying safe, once again thankyou so much
