Hi, I’m raising funds for Rowcroft, my name is Bob Ward, very recently just after Christmas 2025, I was taken seriously ill in Spain, I contracted pneumonia and septacemia, spent 11 days in a coma, 3 weeks in intensive care.2 weeks in recovery, unable to stand, walk, the recovery is very slow, eventually I was well enough to travel, returned to Torquay on the 1st March.Its a long road back to full recovery, up to 1 year.I suppose I should look to raise funds for a pneumonia/ septacima, it’s two fold this fundraiser, first Rowcroft is such a worthwhile cause, local to Torbay, and secondly it’s a goal for me to reach, 8 miles… it won’t come easy , but it’s so worthwhile.
