Rowan needs a cot to come home
Donation protected
Hello. My amazing friend Talia had a baby in March. Rowan was born with Spina Bifida and hydrocephalus. He has already undergone 6 surgeries in as many months. He's on a ventilator, has had a tracheostomy fitted and he is tube fed, amongst other things. He's now at a stage where he is almost ready to come home permanently, where he belongs. As you can imagine, it hasn't been easy for Talia and Lee to get to this stage, it has taken so much planning and money to get to this stage trying to get their home ready for him. Ro will require a special cot that can contain all his medical gear, and is adjustable to help control the fluid on his brain, to aid his shunt. The local authority has said they can provide a single bed with bars, and expect them to leave Rowan in the hospital until the adaptations team can help them make adjustments to their home. This could take years. We want to do whatever we can to get him home safely, ASAP. However, this kind of cot doesn't come cheap. We're looking at nearly £5,000. I'm so tired of watching Talia have to fight for basic necessities Rowan needs to be able to come home, so I have set up this fundraiser to try and help in any way I can. Please, if you are able, donate to try and bring Ro home, where he belongs.
