Hi, my name is Ellys and I work for an edge of care service in Salford called Route 29. Route 29 supports children and young people who are on the edge of care in Salford. Ultimately aiming to support families to remain together. Route 29 has a 6 bedroom respite home where children aged 12 - 17 can come and stay for emergencies and respite to support families in times of need. Route 29 opened in 2020 and has had amazing outcomes for the families in Salford in the past 5 years. To continue to provide a high quality service we going to create a therapy room in our home. Route 29 are looking to raise fund to puts towards the cost of this including furniture, carpets, blinds and therapy accessories. In doing this we can provide a space for children and young people who are struggling, giving them the facilities that provide comfort and calmness during a difficult time in their lives.

To support this fundraiser I will be taking parting in the Ultra White Collar Boxing event!! Anyone who knows me will know how I always get myself into lets say questionable situations and signing up to this is just one of them! By signing up to fight in the Ultra White Collar Boxing on the 29th November means I need to start right now. I will be attending the 8 weeks of training prior to the fight but I have already started training vigorously in my own time.

By doing this fundraiser I am hoping to show to the people around me, colleagues and the families we work with that anything is possible if you have the right support around you and you put in the hard work.
