Ross Coyle's Volunteer Trip to Rebuild in Ukraine
Donation protected
You can help Ukraine.
Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, thousands of homes, hospitals and schools have been damaged or destroyed, displacing families and disrupting vital services. Through Ukraine's Dobrobat nonprofit organization, Ross Coyle, a construction project manager and carpenter in Salt Lake City, has committed three months of his time (September 2023 to November 2023) to Ukraine as a volunteer builder.
The Dobrobat organization--somewhat like Habitat for Humanity--provides victims of the war with emergency rebuilding assistance of roofs, walls, doors, and windows, helping prevent further strain on Ukraine's services and preventing them from becoming Internally Displaced People (IDP). Ross's work will include clearing debris from destroyed structures and restoring damaged structures to make them habitable.
This fundraiser will help cover Ross's travel costs, emergency funds should they be needed, some safety equipment (GPS trackers, boots) and other small incidentals. Any money raised in excess of the $2,500 will go directly to Ukrainian relief efforts.
Thank you in advance for your support. When possible, Ross will post images and updates of the work he will do to aid Ukranians in this time of war.
