MY BOY IS HOME!!!
What a journey we have been on together and what a shocking amount of trauma Ross has endured and yet tonight we haven't stopped laughing and he's sitting here with his cup of tea happy as Larry ❤️
Thankyou to every single person who has supported us through this, you know who you are but im going to mention you anyway lol!
Thankyou to all the staff in all the hospitals that Ross has been in. Special thanks to the staff in the ICU in the Royal and Musgrave, you guys are special and to every person who donated for Ross.
Thankyou to Callum Ewart for setting up a go fund me page and to everyone who donated. You have no idea how much it helped. And Callum for all the many other things you have done for us. You have been such a loyal friend to Ross and we are blessed to have you in our lives.
Thankyou to my work Horizon Surestart for the unwavering support to me and my family. Every single one of my colleagues have been amazing.
Thankyou to my family Nathan Doherty, Anna Doherty , Elizabeth Martin and wee Riley .... I love you guys so much and each one of you have supported us in so many ways.
Thankyou to Aj Campbell for holding the fort when I couldn't both at hospital and at home ... if friendship had a price, I wouldn't be able to afford you!
Thankyou to all Ross's friends that came up to hospital or to the house when he got out on weekend leave to spend time with him.
Thankyou Ronan Rose ,Willy and Ryan for helping me clear the monumental amount of stuff out of the spare room to make it into a nice bedroom for Ross to come home to. (More thanks to Callum for storing it all in his spare room!)
Thankyou for every single comment on my update posts and for all the private messages. I will forever be apologising to those who I haven't replied to yet but I'm sure you will forgive me as life has been a crazy whirlwind
If i have forgotten to thank anyone for anything please forgive me. My brain is a bit frazzled. I think it will take me a while to find a new normal.
Here is a little snippet of Ross's journey starting in the Mater. We wernt allowed to take any photos in ICU which is why it skips forward to 4F in the Royal.
Our lives have been changed forever but to have Ross home with me alive and happy is worth more than any amount of money in this world. I love him more than words can say and will make sure that he lives his very best life!
Onwards and upwards.
