Ross Bay Cemetery Gate Project

Ross Bay Cemetery was officially opened by the City Of Victoria in 1873. Did you know that there is only one sign with the name of the cemetery on it? It’s on the washroom building in the Southwest corner.

To commemorate the 150th anniversary of Ross Bay Cemetery in 2023, we have planned and have received approval from the City of Victoria to build a memorial gate similar to the image above at the Stannard Avenue entrance. The estimated cost of our project is $98,000. We have some funds set aside for the gate, but we are going to need some help with the financing. Can you help us out?
