Rose's Service Trip to Africa
Donation protected
Hello everyone! My name is RoseMarie Lauck and I am a 20 year old woman from Pennsylvania going to school in Boston. I attend Wheelock College, and through this school, I have been given the opportunity to go to Africa to work with children.
This program has been in place at Wheelock for many years. For me to have been chosen is an incredible opportunity. I will be all the way across the world making experiences with children, which as many of you know, is a passion of mine. This program helps teach younger children literacy techniques mainly in Bénin, Africa. I will also be helping high schoolers with digital work as well. During this trip I will be given the opportunity to learn about African slave trade and the many affects it had on the people of Africa. Through Wheelock I have gained knowlegde about digital story telling. I will be using these skills to tell the stories of the people I will meet.
I am setting up a GoFundMe to be able to afford the trip as well as for money for food and necessities
during the trip.
The trip will be in late May/Early June so I am looking to raise the funds before then so I have no worries about this adventure.
I can not explain how grateful I am to be given this opportunity. Coming from a small town in PA I never would have dreamed I could go across the world to help others. A trip like this has always seemed out of reach because of time and money. Now, I have an opportunnity I refuse to give up on. YOUR support will mean so much to me. So this is an early thank you. THANK YOU.
