THE SOUTH'S GOT SOMETHING TO SAY BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT

The Roots to Renewal initiative, launched by World Made, seeks to clean, revitalize, and transform underserved urban and rural communities in the Southeast United States—starting in and around Atlanta, GA, and Birmingham, AL. This campaign will merge environmental stewardship, hip-hop therapy, civic education, and systems-level advocacy to create a replicable model for global community transformation.

Goals:

Beautify Public Spaces, and restore green space habitat amongst underserved communities.

Clean parks, recreation centers, school grounds, and business districts.

Remove trash, debris, and invasive species.

Restore Ecological Health

Identify and address ecological issues (soil degradation, water contamination, deforestation).

Combat invasive species and promote native biodiversity.

Advance Health Equity

Improve access to healthy food (community gardens, urban farming).

Address systemic pollution and its impacts on respiratory, cardiovascular, and mental health.

Empower Communities of Color

Provide education and action around the financial and environmental policies that shape these communities.

Offer workforce development, leadership training, and civic engagement tools via HYPE Hip Hop Therapy.

Global Amplification

Create a media campaign with pertinent media to share stories, outcomes, and frameworks globally.
