What We're Doing
Roots on the Road is a coast-to-coast cycling journey to document the people shaping America's food system. Six of us college students are stopping at farms, farmers markets, truck stops, kitchens, and classrooms to interview farmers, chefs, educators, truck drivers, and everyday eaters. Their stories will become a National Portraits Project and a Storybook, resources designed to spark curiosity and build bridges between communities often kept apart. Everyone eats. Not everyone's voice gets heard. We're changing that.
Meet the Team: Augusta Halle, Benjamin Meinert, Gavin Patterson, Molly Moore, Eve McBride, and Stephen Wolf are ready to ride. What we need is help from you!
Why It Matters
The future of food is being decided right now — in soil, in policy, in grocery aisles. The people closest to that work rarely share the same table. We're building that table, one pedal stroke at a time.
