I never imagined I’d have to ask for help like this, but when the truth depends on transcripts I can’t afford, silence isn’t an option.

For nearly four years, I’ve been in an exhausting legal battle to protect my daughter’s safety, stability, and future. For the last year, I’ve represented myself against an opposing party with far greater resources, because walking away isn’t something I can do when my child’s well-being and stability are on the line.

Now, as I prepare my appeal, I’ve hit a roadblock: court transcripts.

These records hold the evidence and testimony that show what really happened, facts that have been overlooked, left out of findings, and/or distorted. Without them, I can’t move my case forward effectively and show the record of truth held in four years of hearings and testimony. Each transcript costs hundreds of dollars, and the total has quickly climbed beyond what I can manage on my own. Three days of trial transcripts have quickly climbed into the thousands.

I’m asking for help to cover the cost of the transcripts so I can file a complete, accurate appeal and ensure my daughter’s voice—and the truth—are heard.
