Rooted in Rhythm: The Arbor Day Countdown for DMI
At Daraja Music Initiative (DMI), we believe you can’t have music without the tree. The "Tree of Music" is threatened, and we are on a mission to ensure that the music doesn’t stop.
Our Goal: $5,000 by Arbor Day (April 24)
This April, we are launching our Rooted in Rhythm campaign. Bridging music education and African Blackwood conservation, Daraja Music Initiative (DMI) harnesses the transformative power of music to cultivate a sustainable future, ensuring the longevity of music's natural resources.
Funds from this campaign will go towards student field trips, planting African Blackwood and fruit trees at local schools, field trip lunches and snacks for our students, stipends for our Tanzanian partners and interpreters, as well as other operational costs.
In Tanzania...
$25 will cover school supplies (paper, pencils, chalk, etc) for the summer.
$25 will provide one coaster (small bus) for a student field trip.
$50 will cover student lunches for four field trips.
$75 will cover an educational outreach tree planting (trees, transportation, etc).
$100 will cover local transportation for a month for students who commute from far away to be able to attend DMI events safely.
$200 will help sponsor a student field trip (multiple coasters, lunches, water, park fees, etc)
All donations are tax-deductible, as DMI is a 501(c)(3) organization. For more information, please visit: www.darajamusicinitiative.org.
Asante sana!
