Help a Veteran Get a New Roof

Donation protected

My father, S SGT. Mark Flinchum, is a retired Army veteran. During his twenty years in the Army/Army Reserves, he served two separate deployments in Iraq: first in 2001, then again in 2005. After honoring his commitment to his country, he always puts his family first, helping my mother, Tina Flinchum, raise four children.

Through the years, there have been several bouts of employment difficulties, health situations, and a little bad luck, leaving their living conditions as less than ideal. While they are grateful for all that they have, their current house needs several structural repairs. Their main priority is the roof, which has been compromised by time and weather.  I fear that if something isn’t done in the near future, it could collapse, potentially leaving my parents homeless.

Their homeowner’s insurance policy won’t cover these repairs, resulting in a bill they simply cannot afford. My father is retired from the Army, but cannot access his pension for several more years. Both my parents are currently employed, however the money they earn is just enough for them to live on.

The materials to repair the roof cost just under $2,000. With labor provided by myself and a few generous people who have agreed to assist, we can tear out the damaged/rotten materials and rebuild the roof, restoring their home to a safe status.  I would like to ask you to help this veteran out with a small donation.   Click the DONATE NOW button and you will help the people who have given so much to me, my family, and our country.

Thank you.
