As many of you may know, one of our lead instructors and close friend, Ronan Foley, has been diagnosed with a rare blood cancer called Hodgkin Lymphoma. Unfortunately a recent scan has shown it has spread more than initially expected, and is in stage 4. Even at this stage, it is a highly curable cancer with a very high survival rate. However, it will require a period of fairly aggressive chemotherapy treatment.

For those who don't know, Ronan works freelance, as a full time BJJ coach, referee and competitor. During his treatment and recovery, which could last several months, he won't be able to work or earn a salary, primarily due to the effects of the chemotherapy and the high risk of subsequent infections.

The intention of this fund is to raise as much money as we can to help Ronan with his living costs throughout this period of uncertainty and unemployment.

This is a private fundraiser that will only be active for a short period of time. It is only being sent to close friends and family and those who have expressed a desire to contribute directly to Ronan. So, please DO NOT SHARE THIS LINK, unless specifically asked to by Ronan or its organisers.
