On 19th October I’ll be running the Wizz Air half marathon in Rome in aid of Journeyman UK.

I met the team at Glastonbury festival and was compelled by Max’s speech about what the organisation does for young men. It honours me that I will be running on the behalf of this brilliant charity.

Journeyman UK is a registered charity dedicated to supporting boys in discovering their potential as they navigate the choppy waters of adolescence.

They enable communities to skilfully take responsibility for supporting their boys and young men become the adults they want to be. They aim to empower communities to deliver male mentoring opportunities for teenage boys. Having consistent, trusted relationships with male role models can significantly reduce risks of mental ill-health, school exclusion, violence and isolation among boys.

Male mentors of Journeyman UK step in, offering presence, accountability, and a living model of what healthy masculinity can be.
