Romania fundraising 2025

The Nightingales children’s project is a charity dedicated to helping vulnerable children and young people in Cernavoda, Romania, many of whom have faced poverty, neglect, or life in state-run institutions. The charity provides education, support, and opportunities to help them build brighter futures, and we’re honoured to be working with them during our upcoming trip this summer.

We need all the help we can get from people like you to be able to support this amazing cause and hopefully raise £10,000. Our goal in raising this money is to be able to contribute our resources whether they are physical or social, to improve the lives of these children and the people who generously give up their time to them. The Nightingale Project specifically works to provide safety from trafficking to young women through teaching them life skills and engaging in the community. If you choose to donate we can ensure this will be used productively and efficiently to support this cause.

Nightingales Children’s Project aims to support and empower vulnerable children and young adults in Romania, helping them overcome challenges such as poverty, HIV, and the risk of exploitation. The charity focuses on education, protection, and personal development, ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive. Their key projects include Casa Fericirii (Home of Happiness), which provides a safe home for children with HIV; Human Trafficking Prevention, mentoring girls at risk of exploitation; and the Tereza Community Centre, a social enterprise that offers employment and community support. They also run educational programs, sports activities, and safeguarding initiatives to promote a brighter future for disadvantaged youth.

We will be hosting many events and fundraising days leading up to the trip in summer - and would love people to come along and enjoy the experience with us!
