Rohit Ammanamanchi for Mayor of ATL

Hi, I'm Rohit Ammanamanchi, I'm 24 years old, a recent graduate of Georgia Tech in Civil Engineering and a candidate for Mayor of Atlanta!

The City of Atlanta needs to take action to ensure that all our people have access to opportunity. Not just the people that live in the core, and not just the people who can afford a car. I will make the bold changes that we need to improve Atlanta that no other candidate is willing to make.

I'm running because I'm frustrated at how slow the City government moves, and I have a vision to use cutting-edge technology and new urban designs to evolve Atlanta into a world class 21st century city that is prosperous and uncongested!

Its clear that we need to act fast to fix the roads, add much more transit, affordable housing, and economic development, and generally make Atlanta more walkable and livable as we are about to experience a sudden population boom.

It's time to get serious about improving neighborhood connectivity and fixing ALL the roads in Atlanta!

I want the Beltline transit and streetcar network to be finished by 2020, not get started in 2023, and I will introduce new plans and designs to get it done quicker.

I'll update the zoning policy to reflect our current needs of diverse housing and less parking, and solve the issue of homelessness and affordable housing in the same swing.

I'm not afraid to address all the elephants in city hall.

I have plans to use technology to revolutionize civic engagement and City accountability, like virtual town halls, social media presence, and publicly viewable documents and correspondence. 

We all need to work together and get clever to fix all the issues that are aching our city.
