Rockmont Circle is looking for some help this year!

We love doing our decorating and seeing it all throughout the Natomas community, spreading to new parts each year.

I’ve been a resident of Rockmont for 11 years, and each year keeps getting more and more magical. And the crowds keep getting bigger and bigger!!

Anyone that has come through on Halloween knows how fun it can be, but also how crowded it can get. And this year Halloween is falling on a Friday.

As a community, we really want to keep the spirit of the holidays going. But we also realize that the safety of the community is important too.

People always ask if we have some sort of separate HOA agreement inside Rockmont. We don’t. We’re no different than anyone else. We just started decorating and it caught on, and became an annual tradition for us and for the community. One that we love.

Because we are just a bunch of neighbors, trying to have fun and spread some spirit joy, we don’t have any resources other than our own.

And this year, for Halloween, we really feel the need to have a police presence, simply as a deterrent, to keep things safe for all. Unfortunately, we would have to pay for that out of our own pockets. The cost for two police officers for four hours runs at about $1200. We have the permits, and the police contracted, we just need the funds.

As a pretty active member of Rockmont, I know how much we money and time we spend each year on decorations, candy, and everything else. So I have a hard time asking Rockmont to put in even more money, if we can somehow avoid it.

We have approached the city for assistance, but with the recent budget issues and reduced police staffing, we are unable to attain the funding there. So I’m turning to our community.

If you’ve ever taken a picture inside a giant gingerbread man, you’ve been on my driveway. If you’ve dropped off a letter to Santa, you’ve been on my driveway. But I’m asking now for your help.

We really appreciate the community we live in. And if anyone is able to donate to this, it would mean so much to us.

Because of all the amazing community support we have seen, we are going to attempt to add $800 to this goal to fund the Natomas Park HOA contracted security company to cover Halloween night also.

Having both their presence, and the police, will add a lot to the safety of the night. Any unused funds will be carried over to the 2026 Halloween season and used for the same purpose.

This is the first and last change to this campaign.
