100% handicap-friendly and accessible festival needs your help
We are seeking financial aid to pay the rent of our office space from where we plan and organize the 100% handicap-friendly festival Rock & Rul. The festival is run by volunteers and your support will enable us to create an even better experience for people with disabilities.
The amount we are raising is one year worth of rent. If we meet our goal all access funding will help us pay the rent even longer

Rock & Rul Festival is a two day charity rock festival in Aarhus, Denmark. The aim of the festival is to better accessibility for people with varying disabilities. We do this ourselves by making sure our festival is 100% accessible for EVERYONE. It doesn’t matter if your disability is visible or not, we guarantee that everyone can take part in Rock & Rul.
The festival started in 2024 as the two friends, Andreas and Sebastian, returned from another festival and they were rather discouraged by the lack of accessibilty. See, Sebastian has Cerebral Palsy and is wheelchair bound. Andreas is his helper and together they want to raise awareness of the poor accessibility at cultural events.
But how does one do that?
Rock & Rul wants to do this by showing how easy it is to make events available for everyone. They have been doing this with their evergrowing group of co-planners, by making a festival that is 100% handicap-friendly.
Since its inception in 2024 the festival has quickly grown and more initiatives have been added to the festival.
- Now wheelchairs can go in the bars where people can order their drinks while being the same height as the bartender.
- There are motorcycle rides taking place.
- There are secluded areas where people with invisible disabilities can enjoy the shows without being overstimulated.
- As a new feature for 2026 a podium in front of both stages have been added. This will enable people with disabilities to get real close to the artists.
- On top of this we have tons of ideas and concepts we want to implement in the future..
To sum it all up…
We create unique experiences for people living lives most people can’t comprehend and through this we want to inspire all other cultural institutions to make their events accessible
