Robert Salup’s fight against cancer
Donación protegida
Hi, My name is Alex Salup and I'm raising funds for my Uncle Bob who is fighting against Cancer.
Two years ago my uncle had a heart attack and was given life-saving bypass surgery. I moved in for a month to help take care of him and after a long road, he finally recovered.
Shortly after the heart surgery recovery, Uncle Bob was diagnosed with lung cancer. After chemotherapy and treatment, he went into remission and the cancer was gone.
Unfortunately, the cancer has returned and spread and so we need a little bit of help.
My father and my Uncle have run their family business, Quaker Curtain, for their entire lives. They sell and install custom window treatments and blinds throughout the tri-state area. The work is very physically demanding and with the return of Bob's cancer, the business may not be able to survive, leaving them in a state of financial hardship and uncertainty.
My father has to assume the role of Bob's caretaker and he also takes care of their Mother Ruth. My mother passed away almost a year ago after a decade-long battle with COPD. My father has been through a lot and I am asking for help so he can focus on helping Bob through his fight with cancer.
My Uncle Bob is a wonderful guy. When he's not hanging most of Jersey's and Philadelphia's blinds he's writing and performing poetry and bringing joy to all those who have the pleasure of being around him. When I moved up to the northeast, he took me in and helped me get on my feet and now he needs my help.
Anything you can donate would be greatly appreciated to help in my Uncle's fight against cancer. If you can't donate we would greatly appreciate it if you could share this.
Thank you,
Alex Salup
