ROBERT ‘ROBE’ CAVAZOS ENRIQUEZ
MUSCATINE, IOWA – It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Robert "Robe" Cavazos Enriquez (72) on March 1, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 7, 1953, to Antonio and Marta Cavazos Enriquez in Donna, Texas, Robert lived a life rich in family, music, and entrepreneurship.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 52 years, Rebeca Lozano Enriquez, and their three children: Jess (Ruben), George, and Sonia (Luis), all residing in Muscatine, Iowa. He is also survived by his siblings: Jose Enriquez (Jannie), Martin Enriquez (Stacy), Rosalinda Walker (Adam), and Rachel Perez (German), all of Texas, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
Robert's strong work ethic developed early in life as he worked alongside his family as migrant workers. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish Valley Auto Sales in the 1980s, and he continued his successful career in auto sales throughout his life. He also demonstrated skills in auto mechanics, bodywork and real estate renovation, learning through hands-on experience and perseverance.
Music was a cornerstone of Robert's life. An accomplished guitarist and songwriter, he shared his passion by mentoring young musicians in the Muscatine and Quad City area, particularly in Mexican and Tejano music. His musical legacy lives on through the many musicians he inspired, including the album recorded with his late son, Nune in 1996. Jovenaso “Porque Te Amo”
Robert found joy in watching Dallas Cowboys games, visiting casinos with his wife, and most importantly, spending time with family and his best friend “Spoty”. He was a strong advocate for family and encouraged them to always stay together. Robert will be missed deeply by his family and friends.
Anything helps and thank you very much.
Godbless.
