He rides his bike almost daily from Winfield where the two churches are off hwy 150 to Thomson Main street area. Notice it's a single speed bike and it's about 15 miles each way so 30 miles roughly a day. I gave him a lift today and found out that he is 24 and lives with his grandparents who are in bad shape. He doesn't know who his father is and his mother lives with them caring for the grandparents as well. He prefers any manual labor and I believe if he can ride his bike that far in the heat of summer then he ought to do well and don't mind sweating. I got his contact info and his name is Robert. I'd like to help this guy getting on his feet. If anyone knows of someone looking for a worker please let me know. I'm also considering trying to get some donations together for a scooter for him . Please feel free to reach out with any ideas or options. His obstacles are transportation obviously and he doesn't have much real world experience. He speaks well and seems to want to make things happen for him he has only been able to find temp labor.
Donations are for a better mode of transportation and to help this young man get on his feet. Weather its a better bicycle , a scooter , car , to help with getting license etc.
