Robby's 50th BDAY gift - Coachman needs a canopy!

SUPER IMPORTANT: THIS IS A HUGE SURPRISE, SO PLEASE DO NOT MENTION IT IN FRONT OF HIM UNTIL AFTER AUGUST! So, Robby is turning 50 years old this August! I'm as amazed as all the rest of you, lol. He's come such a long way, and, as most of you know, he will do anything for just about any of his people. He's super loyal and giving to everyone he cares for, and I want to try and give him a little something back for his big day. Robby desperately needs a new parachute, especially with his new rating (Coachman!, lol). He is starting to do more student jumps (and fun ones also), so he needs something better and newer than a parachute with thousands of jumps from 1999. The man needs some new fabric over his head pretty badly. Let's all give back to the the guy that is always there for us and make his wish come true for his big 50th! I think that nothing in the world would make him feel happier than knowing everyone he cared about so much pulled this together as a surprise for him. If you want to see this big guy get speechless (if that's actually possible, lol) and maybe even bitch up a little bit, this will do it! Haha. Also, there is a HUGE birthday card that will be at the DZ for signing if you're interested. (Ask on the DL at either manifest). We are going to present this card to him with this surprise on Sunday, August 7th. Please be there if you can, I am bringing cake and goodies. He will know about the snacks, but not the gift. Bring lots of cameras! We're gonna need videos! =) 

The picture above is Robby doing his first tandem at 19 years old. I figured if you were going to give a little, I should at least give a little back and let you guys get a little giggle at that. Amazingly enough, it took 20-something years later and the nagging of a woman to finally get him licensed, go figure. Let's get him a safe new canopy - anything you can contribute would be so appreciated!! I am going to print out a list of these donations to give to him with the gift, so please leave some messages!
