This coming May, I've been selected to travel to Nairobi, Kenya, with 30 of my colleagues from Tenth Revolution Group to visit St. Martin’s School. St. Martin’s is at the heart of change in the Kibagare slum — a community where poverty, substance abuse, and illness are part of daily life.
The Primary School serves local children aged 4–12, providing not only education but also food, clean water, clothing, and access to basic medical care. The Secondary School, founded in 1992, was created to give 180 girls who had graduated from the primary school a chance to continue their education and build brighter futures.
While there, I’ll have the opportunity to visit classrooms, join in on lessons, take part in community outreach within the slums, accompany some of the students on a field trip, and help with the school’s Saturday feeding program, which provides meals to more than 1,500 children every weekend.
Any support — no matter the amount — will go directly toward supplies for the students, classroom materials, and activities we’ll be organizing during our time at St. Martin’s. Every contribution helps make this experience more meaningful for the children we’ll be working with.
