Rob's return trip to volunteer in Ukraine
Donation protected
Last summer, I had the privilege of volunteering at Ukraine's Superhuman Center, a facility dedicated to helping rehabilitate soldiers who have lost limbs in their fight for freedom. As an occupational therapist specializing in hand therapy, I saw firsthand the resilience and determination of these individuals and the Ukrainian people against overwhelming odds.
I am planning on returning in August to continue this work. Last year, I covered all expenses myself, but now I'm seeking your support to fund travel expenses and purchase supplies for emergency and rehabilitation medicine. This will include (but not be limited to):
-Materials to build custom splints for upper extremity injuries
-Adaptive equipment to promote independence for those with amputations
-Textbooks and training manuals for fabricating custom splints
-Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) supplies such as tourniquets, burn dressings, pressure bandages, and litters to help frontline medics
If enough funds can be raised, I'd also like to purchase a truck that can be given to medics to help with frontline evacuations. Any funds not used will be donated to the Superhumans Center.
By supporting this cause, you're not just helping individuals - you're defending democracy and helping win the war against the spread of authoritarianism.
