Step right up once more, friends of Charleville Castle!

If you’ve ever wandered our grand halls, felt the hush of the forest outside, or glimpsed the Gothic spires against the sky — you’ll know that Charleville Castle has always stood proud. But even a castle needs a good roof over its head.

Today, the rain is making its way in. A drip here, a leak there — small signs of wear that, if left unattended, could become great wounds to the building we all love. It’s time for the Great Roof Repair Rally!

Whether you are a history lover, a walker of enchanted forests, or simply someone who believes in protecting what is precious — your support matters. Every euro pledged goes directly towards urgent roof repairs: sealing leaks, securing slates, and protecting the rooms beneath.

We’ve done it before. With your generosity, we carried out temporary avenue road repairs, giving visitors and volunteers safer access for a time and proving just how powerful this community can be when it comes together. Now, the roof calls for that same spirit of unity.

Our new goal is €20,000, and with it, we will:

Carry out vital roof repairs before damage spreads.

Keep the castle dry and safe for tours, events, and community gatherings.

Protect centuries of history and the future we are building together.
