Hi. My name is Sandrine. I am a supporter of the Bönpo community of Dholanji, in Himachal Pradesh, in India.
The Bönpo Community of Dholanji is pleased to announce the forthcoming construction of a 3.5-kilometer concrete road connecting Menri Monastery and Ratna Menling Nunnery. This road will serve as a vital lifeline for the entire Dholanji community — monks, nuns, lay residents, pilgrims, and visitors — ensuring safe and convenient travel in all seasons.
The project symbolizes not only a physical connection but also the deep spiritual unity between the Monastery and Nunnery, strengthening the collective heart of the Bönpo community.

Purpose and Significance
• Safety & Accessibility: The current path becomes difficult and hazardous during heavy rains. A concrete road will allow year-round safe access for all.
• Community Development: The road will benefit the monastery, nunnery, settlement residents, and visitors, enhancing both local livelihood and mobility.
• Spiritual Connection: This project will unite the sacred sites of practice — Menri and Ratna Menling — as a single field of merit and devotion.
• Preservation of Heritage: By supporting this project, donors contribute directly to the stability and growth of the Yungdrung Bön tradition, ensuring its continued flourishing in India and the world.
