Our village helped us - now it's time to help one of our village members!
Janet, a pediatric trauma nurse, recently suffered a debilitating stroke that has left her without a job, a house, a car, and barely food on the table. Her family is struggling to make ends meet with two teenage girls at home and only one family member able to work. To top it off, the surgery that Janet will need won't be done locally. Not only does the aneurysm need to be taken care of, but it's looking like she may have a rare form of cancer affecting her adrenal glands, Pheochromocytoma. The doctors are confident that once the surgery is done to remove the tumors suffocating her adrenal glands that she will be back to normal and be able to work again.
We're helping her raise money for rent and utilities, food, transportation (to doctors visits, her girls to school, her husband to work), copays and doctor visits, medications, and dog food. She’s in need of funds ASAP - her cars have been repossessed, the apartment complex is knocking on their door for rent, and the adults are going without food to provide for the girls.
Janet is a smart and compassionate nurse, a very giving and selfless friend, someone too humble to realize how amazing she truly is. Let’s rally together to help a fellow village member out of the darkness!
