My family get back on our feet
Donation protected
I’m Ryan. Some of you know me as “Cutthroat Cowboy Knives,” and some of you know me as a father and a husband. I know a lot of you have seen the ups and downs of being the best man that I can be. I started doing my art as a full-time self-employed thing; it’s been a tough road.
Recently I found out my singlings were brutally and sexually abused for years, as well, as a lot of physical abuse of my own that I don’t remember has also resurfaced. I confronted my family about the situation, frantic to receive answers or get some sort of justice. All I was told was, “what are we supposed to do about it now?” This was a complete slap in the face. I have to admit those words broke me. I was out of my shop for longer than two weeks, and now I’m in an even bigger hole financially and mentally than I thought possible.
I’ve always been strong-willed, but this has beaten me. I’m recovering, and it is taking some time, But I need some help getting back on my feet. Anything donated will help my wife, my son, and me tremendously and allow us to move forward in a positive direction and get my shop into a different environment away from those toxic people.
Also, if you know of any place where I can move my shop locally here in Bakersfield, please let me know. I’m embarrassed and ashamed at this point, but this is my best shot to keep a roof over my family's head. I never thought I’d be in this position, but I know once I’m out of it I will regain my strength and continue to make one-of-a-kind knives for my loyal and thoughtful customers.
