Al-Hamdu lillahi, the Masjid at Squaw Valley Islamic Settlement is finished except for final carpeting. It sits on 5 beautiful acres in California which is a waqf (trust) for Allah Most High. All five daily prayers are made in our Masjid.

Unfortunately, the well on the property does not have the best water. It is very "hard" (excessive iron and other minerals) which gives an unpleasant taste and smell and leaves unsightly stains in sinks the the wudhu area. Water is very important to a masjid, and we wouldn't want our visitors to be confronted with something unpleasant.

We are in need of a water softening system to improve this water. After consultation, we found the best deal and it will cost around $6,000. Please donate generously.
