Adoption

Hello friends and family,

As many of you know, my husband and I had the privilege of hosting a sweet, eight year old girl from Ukraine. She is kind, a little shy and has the warmest smile that brings so much joy to our hearts! When we first saw her photo, we knew right away that we wanted to bring her home. We were able to sponsor her for the summer, and during that time, she changed our lives forever.

She stole our hearts, remodeled our priorities and gave us a whole new perspective on life. We are now in the process of adopting not only her, but her little sister as well. Unfortunately, her sister is only six years old and for that reason was too young for hosting, but we are so excited to meet her! We knew we could not split them apart and decided to give them both a chance at a loving childhood. I know you’ve heard the saying that it “takes a village” to raise a child, but sometimes it can take a village to help a child come home.

As Christains, we believe God wants us to care for and love those in need. Protect those who are most vulnerable and stand up for those who need it most. It’s a command given to us all, to care for all orphans and stand up for the rights of the oppressed.

We want more than anything to be the ones who can give them the life they deserve. They have never known the tender embrace of a mother or the joy of a piggy back ride from a father. They don't know what it feels like to be tucked in and kissed goodnight, warm and safe in a caring home. They deserve a childhood that allows them to be children in an environment where they will flourish! They have already missed out on so much.

“I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.” -Mathew 25:40

We cannot wait to bring them home, to hold them in our arms and always provide a hand for them as they grow. No words can describe the excitement we feel as we anticipate the blessing of their presence in our home. Please pray with faith that God would move mountains to bring these girls home to us.

Thank you to all of our friends and family who have supported us on our journey. All of the finances raised will go towards the children's adoption fees and healthcare. Adoption is an extremely expensive process with the average cost being $50,000. This will help cover agency fees, lawyers fees and medical costs associated with the adoption process for both children.
