Many years ago my mother, who was a professor of education at my college, encouraged me to teach for a living. I was skeptical but I said okay. A few years later, I got the chance to come to Japan to teach English. Since I came here, that job has changed a lot. Deregulation and other economic forces have made wages lower and lower. It`s especially ironic with the Olympics coming next year. Anyway, my father passed away in 2016. I was unable to go back home for his funeral. Last year my mother had a stroke, and fell in her townhouse. She was forced to sell the townhouse, and is now in an assisted living facility. What I am asking for, is a chance to go home. An airline ticket, and whatever is left over for food. I don`t know how many chances I still have to see her. In my job, summer vacation is in August. If I have to wait until winter vacation in December-well she seems healthy but weak. It`s stressing me out and affecting my health too. A few years ago, I was in fine condition. My most recent health check showed my blood pressure had gone up-a lot. My mother means everything to me. I just want a chance to be with her, while I still can. I have always been an independent person. It`s hard for me to ask for help. I just don`t know what else to do. My gratitude for any help would be from my heart and very much appreciated. Thank you.
