Pieta House is a charity dedicated to mental health. They provide a range of services nationally to people who are experiencing thoughts of suicide, engaging in self-harm and those bereaved by suicide. This donation will go towards the FREE professional therapy and support for those suffering with their mental health. That means being there for you if you are self-harming, struggling with suicidal thoughts, or have lost someone to suicide. Every year nearly 500 people in Ireland take their own lives, that’s ten lives lost every week. It doesn’t have to be this way. Pieta exists to change this by offering life-saving services, provoking national conversation, and bringing people together through Darkness Into Light.
This charity has always been a focus of mine, ever since I can remember I have participated in Pieta House’s annual “Darkness into Light Walk” that takes place every May. As well as donating during Christmas and Winter months when many peoples mental health is at their lowest.
Myself, Raonaid and many loved ones around us have been exposed to the grief of suicide and mental health. We hope to raise €2,000 to ensure suicide, self-harm and stigma are replaced with hope, self-care and compassion. Your donation is greatly appreciated :)
