Help Marilyn pay legal fees

I am submitting this fund request on behalf of my friend of 35 years, Marilyn Charlesworth, a strong, confident, compassionate and driven woman. She put herself through college earning a bachelor’s degree while working full time and raising two children. In 2004 she was called for jury service. In the spirit of service she cheerfully did her civic duty and served 6 weeks on a jury for a murder trial in which the jury found unanimously against the defendant.
The defense has spent the last ten years digging through her past dragging every skeleton out of the closet, publishing her medical records in the paper, maligning her personally and persecuting her for everything in her past they could find. This process has left her a pariah in the very community that she has faithfully served for the past 25 years as an advocate for persons of disabilities, volunteer hospice worker, volunteering in any way that her community needed her.
This has been an extremely stressful process for her and has affected her health physically, mentally, and emotionally and has created an extreme financial burden for her while she has fought to clear her name. She and her husband had plans to retire soon, but that now is impossible.
Please help her fight this and insure that in the future others who serve on a jury will retain their civil rights and protect them from persecution. Please help support Marilyn in her fight against this injustice
