Urgent Appeal to Help My Family in Gaza (10NOK is 1$)
Donation protected
‼️‼️‼️ NOTICE: 10$ = 100NOK // 10£ = 100NOK‼️‼️‼️

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Since the situation in Gaza is only getting worse and there seems no near end to this horrifying Gen*c*de, we've decided to raise our fundraising goal to 500,000 NOK (~45 000$). This is in order to facilitate my family's evacuation from Gaza to Egypt. The situation is really getting worse and becoming unbearable for my family. Fatigue has eaten away at my family's faces. I look at them and see how much they've aged and how their faces have become pale now. We our new goal is a lot bigger than our initiated goal, but we have no other choice than to try. Thank you for your understanding. We are immensely grateful for everyones support.
- A total of ~ 45 000$ has to be allocated to cover the expenses associated with obtaining permits to leave Gaza, as well as crossing fees at Rafah, at the Egypt-Gaza border. This amount breaks down to 5000$ per adult and 2500$ per child (under 16y).
- A total of $1,305 will be used to cover GoFundMe transaction fees (2.9% plus $0.30 per donation).
Dear humans,
I’m reaching out with a humble request to help me help my family survive in Gaza. The situation in Gaza is getting worse and I’m afraid of loosing my family in Gaza. I’m initiating this fundraiser as a last possible solution to save my family.
I’m doing this for my dear family:
⁃ Father: Tahsin (53)
⁃ Mother: Lamya (54)
⁃ Sister: Alaa (23)
⁃ Brother: Mohammed (20)
⁃ Sister: Safa (17)
⁃ Brother: Diya (13)
⁃ Sister: Dima (11)
Our story:
First, my name is Alaa and I’m 26 years old. I left Gaza in 2021 looking for a better future and I’m currently seeking asylum in Germany. I left my family; my dear mom and dad and my seven siblings in Gaza. I’m the oldest of my siblings and whom my family rely on, both before the war and now. My family’s situation was difficult, even before the war. My dad worked with cleaning the local mosque for minimum wage whilst my mom took care of my younger siblings. Before the war, my family lived in and rented an apartment in Khan Younis in the south of Gaza. Paying the rent each month was a struggle and we went fast into debt. We could only afford the basic necessities of life and some days even that was a struggle.
However, the ongoing war on Gaza destroyed the little and simple life my family had. The war made my family homeless and they are currently displaced in Rafah, without any income or any basic necessities of life available for them. My family was forced to flee from Khan Younis and they’re currently "living" in a tent in Rafah, south of Gaza. There they’re lacking access to basic necessities like food, clean water and medical care. They’re sleeping cold and getting sick. My mother and dad’s health is also in danger. They have many health problems and they’re not able to get their medication.
As the eldest son, my family relies on me for support, and it breaks my heart to see them struggle like this and feeling helpless. I never imagined my family would be in this kind of situation. I’m scared for their lives and I can't bear to loose them. I struggle every night with sleep, because I hear voices shouting for help in my ears, not to mention my mother’s heavy and tired voice, which I am not accustomed to hear like that.
The last 90 (update: 323 days) days I’ve done everything I can to support and secure my family needs. However, it's becoming increasingly difficult to do it on my own. As mentioned earlier, Im currently seeking asylum in Germany and I don't have an income to continue the support of my family and myself. I have therefore initiated this fundraising campaign to provide immediate relief and support for my family with your generous help. The donations raised will be used to provide essential supplies, such as food, clean water, medical aid, and shelter. Hopefully, we also aim to support their long-term recovery with rebuilding their home and life and wherever its needed after the war ends. A trusted friend of mine in Norway will be collecting the donations on my behalf, due to the transfer requirements.
Your contribution, no matter the size, will be a big help for my family. If you are able to help, please consider making a donation to our cause. I would also be grateful if you could share our campaign with your friends, family, and on social media. That would greatly increase our reach and impact.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for considering supporting my family in Gaza. I pray you don’t abandon our humble request for help. Thank you and may the good you do be returned to you tenfolds.
Below I’ve attached some pictures documenting my family's situation in Rafah.

"Before 7. October I had a beautiful home and now I'm homeless" This is what my siblings wrote on the tent they're currently living in after the destruction of our home.

Sincerely,
Alaa
