Hello family and friends!
I am excited to share with you that I was honored to be accepted into the Rites of Passage (ROP) mentorship program this year! ROP is an experience sponsored by the Jack and Jill of America, Inc., Minneapolis Chapter, for African-American males during their senior year in high school. As a part of the ROP program, I have received a mentor (Ray Smith-Byrd) and will have the opportunity to meet and engage with many high-ranking and high-achieving males of African decent. The program is tailored to support and mentor strong, educated, and high-potential young men during their senior year and prepare them for life in college and the careers they will go into.
As an "initiate," I have accepted the responsibility of raising funds to go to the charity organization that we have chosen as a group. The local charity we are supporting the year is the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) - Twin Cities. The remaining funds will support Jack and Jill and fund services and programs for our local community. My goal is to raise $2,500. You can support my effort by generously donating in one of two ways:
1) Donate ANY amount (recommended minimum $25)
2) Consider purchasing an advertisement - a Souvenir Book is published every year with ads supporting the Initiates. Follow the attached link; https://www.ropmpls.org/souvenir-book-ad-form to submit your ad, then DONATE on this GoFundMe site or follow instructions to send your check and ad file.
All donations will be managed by Jack and Jill of America, Inc., Minneapolis Chapter and distributed in accordance with its ROP program policies.
Thank you for supporting me.
