Hello Friends and Family,

I was honored to be accepted into the 2020-2021 Rites of Passage (ROP) program, which is a leadership acceleration and mentoring experience sponsored by Jack & Jill of America, Inc., Minneapolis Chapter.  The ROP program targets high achieving males of African descent for unique programming in Self-Discovery, Achievement and Leadership.  Over the next six months, I will be working with a mentor, immersed in significant leadership and service content, and exposed to leaders from academia, public policy and business who will share unique and engaging insight that will help me and my fellow “Initiates” transition to manhood and prepare for leadership in college and life.  

Each “Initiate” has accepted the challenge of raising funds that will support a charity of our choosing.   A portion of funds raised will also be given to the Jack & Jill of America, Inc. Foundation and its philanthropic and community service projects.  I have set a personal goal of raising $2000.  My fellow “Initiates” and I decided to donate funds to the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) so we can support students in need of financial assistance to attend college.  Please support my fundraising efforts by making a generous donation in one of the following ways:

1)  DONATE any amount. Donations above $25 will be listed as patrons in the Rites of Passage Souvenir Booklet.
       $25+         Bronze Patron
       $50+         Silver Patron
       $75+         Gold Patron
       $100+       Platinum Patron

2) Purchase an advertisement. Each year, a Souvenir Booklet is published with ads supporting the Initiates. Follow this link to the ROP ad page to submit your ad, then donate on this GoFundMe page or follow the instructions to send your check and ad file.  

All donations will be managed by Jack and Jill of America, Inc., Minneapolis Chapter and distributed in accordance with its Rites of Passage program policies. 

I am excited about raising funds for UNCF and Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Foundation.  This fundraiser will run until the end of January.  Thank you in advance for supporting me and for helping me reach my goal.
