Passage (ROP), a leadership acceleration experience sponsored by Jack &
Jill of America, Inc., Minneapolis Chapter. The program targets high
achieving males of African descent for unique programming in Self-
Discovery, Achievement and Leadership. Over the next six months I will
be provided a mentor, immersed in significant leadership and service
content, and exposed to leaders from academia, public policy and
business who will share unique, engaging insight that will help me
transition to manhood and prepare for leadership in college and life. For
some inspiration on me, take a look at my video above.
Each "Initiate" has accepted the challenge of raising funds. A portion of
funds will go towards funding a donation to a local charity of our
choosing. The remainder will support the Jack and Jill of America, Inc.
Foundation and its philanthropic and community service projects. I'd be
honored to have your assistance in reaching my goal of $900. Please
consider supporting my effort by making a generous donation in one of
1) DONATE any amount (recommend minimum $25)
2) Consider purchasing an advertisement - Each year a Souvenir Book is
published with ads supporting the Initiates. Follow the attached link ROP
Souvenir Book Ad Form to submit your ad, then DONATE on this
GoFundMe site or follow instructions to send your check and ad file.
All donations will be managed by Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Minneapolis
Chapter and distributed in accordance with its Rites of Passage program
Thank you for supporting me!
The access the higher education for people of color in the United States is staggering. The United Negro College Fund envisions a nation where all Americans have equal access to a college education that prepares them for rich intellectual lives, competitive and fulfilling careers, engaged citizenship, and service to our nation. My goal Is to help in the end goal by raising money for this organization. As a black man, I felt as if college was this insurmountable behemoth, but through this organization, I have found solace and peace that I can go to a college of my choice. By donating, you can help thousands of men and women like me. So, if you can spare the change, help spread change.
