Rita & Richard

As you may or may not know, our friend and colleague Rita and her beloved fiancé Richard have been waging a valiant fight for Richard’s life since he was diagnosed with terminal cancer in December 2017. Through all the setbacks, disappointments, and debilitating treatments, Rita and Richard have inspired us with their strength, courage, and unwavering good spirits—a testament to their powerful love and joy for living. It is with great sadness that we share the news that Richard’s health has been in decline and he has decided to stop treatment. We have created this fundraiser to express our total support for Rita; to let her know, that we, as a department, are here to help in any way possible. You are in no way obligated to donate; Rita appreciates your support in any form—even if you just stop by her desk to check in and say, “hi.” Thank you all for the kindness and support you have shown Rita in this most difficult of times.
