my name is Sara. I'm creating this fundraising for Mustapha, one of my dearest friends, who's been fighting cancer in a limited health system for months.

"Once upon a time, in the bustling city of Hanoi, Vietnam, there lived a vibrant and passionate 29-year-old young man named Must. A dedicated expat English teacher, Must had a heart of gold before becoming an English teacher. He spent six years of his life devoted to social work, nurturing the youth in his community, and helping them develop their personalities and skills as he worked for a noble Non-profit organization for peace, leaving an indelible mark of compassion and service.

One fateful day, while immersed in his fulfilling role as a teacher, Must felt an unfamiliar pain in his spine. Initially dismissing it as exhaustion from his demanding schedule, he soldiered on, hoping it would pass. But as the pain persisted, he knew it was something more.

His intuition proved correct. The pain intensified, and Must's once energetic spirit started to wane. With great concern, he sought medical advice, leading to a series of exhaustive scans and analyses. Eventually, he had to make a heart-wrenching decision to leave Vietnam behind and return to his homeland, Morocco, where he could lean on the support of his beloved family and friends.

Upon arriving in Morocco, Must embarked on a new chapter of his life, a chapter he never anticipated or desired. The medical expenses quickly drained his bank account, but he knew he had no choice but to fight this battle head-on. The doctors diagnosed a grave condition: cancer had taken root in his spine vertebrae, causing severe damage. The only option was urgent and critical spinal surgery to prevent paralysis.

As he emerged from the surgery, Must's physical pain was relieved, but his emotional and mental fortitude was put to the ultimate test. The journey ahead was arduous and uncertain. Months of diagnoses and medical tests ensued, as the doctors struggled to pinpoint the elusive nature of his cancer. Misunderstandings and confusion within medical circles added to the challenge, as the disease did not present itself clearly in his blood.

Eventually, a breakthrough emerged. The doctors discovered that the cancer had invaded Must's bone marrow, spreading its malevolent roots throughout his skeleton. The pain he endured was unimaginable, particularly in the lower part of his body, where it caused sensory compression and numbed even the most intimate parts of his being.

With his unwavering spirit, Must confronted the terrifying truth and embarked on his first round of chemotherapy. The road ahead was paved with uncertainties, but he refused to let fear overshadow his determination. Five sessions of radiotherapy followed, further testing his endurance.

Throughout this harrowing journey, Must's indomitable spirit remained unshaken. Drawing strength from the support of his loved ones and the compassion of well-wishers, he resolved to embrace each day with hope and resilience. He knew the path to healing would be long, fraught with hurdles and financial burdens, but Must was determined to fight for his life and continue his meaningful work, even in the face of adversity.
