Rochester's music community is rising up!
On February 27, 18+ acclaimed singer-songwriters will unite at Immanuel Baptist Church (7pm) for one night of original protest songs — a powerful response to threats against civil rights, immigrant communities, and democratic values.
Rise Up ROC raises funds for The Legal Aid Society of Rochester's Immigration program and IBC's social justice work.

LASROC appreciates the outpouring of empathy and financial support for our immigration clients!
Our Immigration Law Unit assists immigrant community members in navigating the complexities of U.S. immigration law through direct representation and relentless advocacy. We provide free legal representation to vulnerable noncitizens, including refugees, asylum seekers, survivors of domestic violence and other crimes, and undocumented or mixed-status families.
In the past year, they have also been educating the community with Know Your Rights programs, from identifying valid warrants to understanding what to do if someone is detained. Another important service is helping families prepare in the event that a family member is detained. This includes preparing Powers of Attorney, Standby Guardianship forms, and documents regarding education and health care. These are critical in ensuring that the children are cared for.
Obtaining lawful status in the U.S. carries a significant financial burden and the Immigration Client Fund provides direct assistance with application filing fees, fingerprinting, medical exam fees and related expenses for those clients who cannot afford them.
On behalf of our clients, thank you for your generosity!
