Something atrocious is happening and we believe we can do something about it together. The federal administration is committing acts of dehumanization and violence against immigrants. Innocent people are being abducted off the streets by plainclothes masked men, cut off from their loved ones and imprisoned for unknown periods of time without due process. Some are even being disappeared to prisons in other countries where there are reports of torture.

This is not about safety. Since October, less than 10% of those taken into ICE custody have had serious criminal convictions. We’re even hearing of U.S. citizen children—some with life-threatening illnesses—being deported. Meanwhile, organizations that support immigrant communities are under attack, underfunded, and overwhelmed.

History has shown us what happens when people look the other way during moments of injustice. We don’t want to be among those who stayed silent.

That’s why we’re setting a goal: raise $5,000 to support immigrant rights organizations doing life-saving work.
