My name is Mamun Khan — father, community leader and civic strategist. For years I have dedicated my life to one mission: empowering people to rise higher. Not just in words, but through real, on-the-ground work that strengthens communities, influences change and builds futures worth living.
Today, I’m asking for your help to take that mission further than ever before.
WHAT I’M RAISING FOR
I’m raising £100,000 to fund a series of community events and programmes designed to:
- Empower local leaders and young people with the tools, skills and confidence to lead
- Create civic engagement spaces where communities can shape the policies that affect their lives
- Deliver faith, values and purpose-driven programmes that bring people together across backgrounds
- Produce regular events that inspire action, dialogue and lasting change
These aren’t one-off events. This is a sustained, structured effort to build something that lasts; a platform for communities to grow, connect and thrive.
WHY THIS MATTERS TO ME
I’ve seen what happens when communities are left without support, without voice and without hope. I’ve also seen what happens when people come together with purpose; the transformation is extraordinary.
Through my work with organisations like ARCC, MCWAS and others I’ve witnessed firsthand how the right event, the right programme and the right space can change the trajectory of a person’s life. A young person who finds their voice. A family that finds belonging. A community that finds its power.
This is why I do what I do. And this is why I need your support.
