Riley's Eagle Scout Project for St. Philip's

My name is Riley Siedlecki, and I am currently a Life Scout in Troop 21, Clifton, NJ. For my Eagle Scout Project, I will be refurbishing a wall, door, and statue of Mary in the intermediate wing of Saint Philip the Apostle Preparatory School. The work will include sanding and staining the wood panels, adding protective coats of, repainting a large door, replacing two damaged screens, and restoring the Mary statue with a proper cleaning and sealant.

In addition, I am dedicating this project to Mrs. Chidiac, a former teacher at St. Philip Prep and parish member who passed away from cancer in 2022. She had a profound impact on me and my brother from preschool through my graduation in 2021. I plan to install a plaque featuring one of her favorite Bible verses as a tribute to her faith and lasting influence on the school community.

The funds raised through this GoFundMe will go toward purchasing all necessary materials, including sandpaper, stain, polyurethane, paint, wood trim, new window screens, cleaning supplies, and the commemorative plaque. With your support, I can complete this project safely and effectively, while honoring Mrs. Chidiac’s memory and improving the environment for current and future students at St. Philip’s.
