Bike Ride Challenge for Riley Townsends Family
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Jack Swaisland, Coach of Ashfield Athletic FC.
We are all absolutely devastated to hear of the tragic and devastating news that Riley Townsend has taken his life at the age of 12. We cannot even begin to imagine the heartbreak and suffering that Rileys loved ones are going through.Riley has suffered with ADHD/Autism and mental health issues. Riley is described by all who met him as the kindest and most loveable child and alsways brighten up any room. On the 1st September Riley devastating took his own life.
Riley played for his local grassroots football team Kirkby Colts. The football community has come together to try and raise some funds for Rileys family. On Saturday 14th September, coaches from Ashfield Athletic FC and Newton and Blackwell FC will be cycling from Derby County ground to the Nottingham Forests City Ground and then only Holme Pierrepont. Meanwhile, players and parents from the 3 teams will be cycling the same amount of miles around the lake at Holme Pierrepont to see who can complete the 20.5 miles first. Quite simply coaches vs players and parents.
We hope that with peoples kind generosity we can help Rileys family at such a dark time.
